Scott Van Egdom became Northwestern's first NAIA All-American in basketball, being named to the second team in 1992 after leading the 25-8 Red Raiders to the runner-up position in NAIA Div. II…He contributed 30 points and 22 rebounds in the overtime loss to Grace College in the national championship game, earning All-National Tournament honors...For the year, he averaged 22.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game and set a school record for most free throws in a season, 210...The 1992 District 15 Player of the Year, he ranks as Northwestern's eighth all-time rebounder with 708 caroms and 13th in scoring, 1,315.
