A defensive tackle, he played on football teams that compiled a 41-6-1 record from 1983-86…A three-year starter, he was a member of the NAIA Div. II national championship team in 1983, the national runners-up in '84 and the semi-finalist '85 team…Credited with 26 solor tackles and 34 assists in 1985, earning All-American honors...In his senior year, 1986, he recorded 22 unassisted tackles and 15 assists...Selected to play in the Blue/Gray Bowl in '86 and tried out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cincinnati Bengals in 1987
