Braden Kalvelage and women's track & field student-athlete
Kenzie Harder as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of January 11th.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Braden Kalvelage, Men's Track & Field
- Kalvelage (Sr., Hastings, Neb.) was a champion in two events on Saturday while breaking a school record and registering a national qualifying mark.
- The senior took first in the 200m with a time of 21.89 for a new Northwestern indoor record.
- Kalvelage was also a champion in the long jump, with a top-10 jump in the NAIA of 7.33m, qualifying for nationals with an "A" standard mark.
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kenzie Harder, Women's Track & Field
- Harder (Fr., Storm Lake, Iowa) championed three events and set two school records in just her second career meet.
- The freshman broke the 60m indoor record with a time of 7.69 and broke the 200m indoor record with a time of 25.71.
- Harder won the long jump with a 5.62m mark, hitting the "B" standard provisional mark.
