American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's basketball student-athlete Jesse Van Kalsbeek and volleyball student-athlete Stella Winterfeld as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of December 15th.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Men's Basketball

Van Kalsbeek (So., Sheldon, Iowa) once again averaged a double-double over two conference wins.
The sophomore averaged 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists while shooting 57.5% from the field.
Van Kalsbeek's best game came Wednesday in the win over Waldorf: 38 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 73.7% shooting.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Stella Winterfeld, Volleyball

Winterfeld (Jr., Sioux Center, Iowa) helped lead her team to a national runner-up finish last week totalling just under five kills per set.
The junior led the team in total kills over the semifinal and championship matches with 34, while also adding 22 digs, three blocks, and an ace.
For her performance at nationals, Winterfeld was named All-Tournament Team and Attacker of the Tournament.
