Tofteland Garners Runner of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern freshman Caleb Tofteland has been selected as the GPAC Runner of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

"Caleb got out well to start the race at Adams Nature Preserve andthen gutted out the last K," head coach Scott Bahrke commented. "He has been working hard at practice and encouraging his teammates to give their best, too."

Tofteland was the top NAIA finisher at the Briar Cliff Invite on Saturday, running a PR of 25:46.59. His time now ranks 17^th in school history in the 8K and is the top time for a Raider this year. Tofteland has placed in the top 10 of his last two competitions this season.

The Raiders will head to Sioux Center this weekend for the Dordt Holiday Inn Express Classic. The women's gold division race begins at 10:00 a.m. with the men to follow.
