Northwestern Tested by Tough Conditions at GPAC Championships

ASHLAND, Neb. – The Red Raider cross country teams competed on a muddy, challenging course at Mahoney State Park for the 2024 GPAC Championships, hosted by College of Saint Mary. Alik McIlravy led the Raiders with a 26^th-place finish as Northwestern finished fifth overall.

Northwestern trenched to a fifth-place team finish with a strong showing in the middle of the leaderboard. McIlravy, Ben VanDeBerg, Parker Engel, and Trey Engelmann all found themselves in the top-40, with McIlravy and Engel notching their best finishes on the team this season. Engelmann and Carson Engbers also improved their finishes from last year's GPAC Championships.

Concordia's Vaughn Hendrickson won the individual conference title with a time of 25:44.1. Dordt won the team title with 41 points.
