Northwestern Men Aim to Finish Strong at GPAC Championships

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The 2024 GPAC Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, November 9 at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Nebraska. The Red Raider men will begin their quest for a conference title at 11:30 a.m.

The Raiders have run to two second-place finishes this season, first at the Briar Cliff Invite, then at the Mount Marty Invite. At Mount Marty, Northwestern had a season-low 53 points.

Ben VanDeBerg has been the Raiders' top runner this season, finishing in the top-25 three times and tied a career-best finish in seventh at the Briar Cliff Invite. Northwestern is set to send 10 athletes to the meet. Participating runners and their top 8K times this season are listed below.

Spectators will need to purchase a park pass in advance from Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for entrance to Mahoney State Park. Passes are $7 for in-state visitors and $14 for those coming from out-of-state.

Northwestern finished fifth at last season's GPAC Championships, with Ben VanDeBerg leading with an 18^th-place finish.
