Raiders to Take the Course at GPAC Championships

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The 2026 GPAC Women's Golf Championships are set to take place at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, on April 27-28. This prestigious event will feature a competitive lineup, including the Northwestern women's golf team, who are eager to showcase their talent and skills on the course.

The tournament will play 54 holes, with 27 played on Monday and 27 on Tuesday.

Northwestern's team will be led by standout players Ellie Erickson and Claire Yunag. Erickson has consistently performed throughout the season, boasting a season average of 82.6 over 13 rounds. She has secured three top-10 finishes, with two of those being in the top five. Her strong performance positions her as a key player to watch during the championships.

Claire Yunag, another leading player on the team, has maintained an average score of 84.6. Yunag's impressive record includes four top-10 finishes and one top-five finish this season. She also holds the team's lowest round, an impressive 76, achieved during the first round of the Mount Marty Invite. Yunag's consistent play and ability to perform under pressure will be crucial for Northwestern's success at the event.

Also in the lineup is Anna Brant, Brooke Thompson, and Mariah Gerleman. Brant, with a season average of 85.2, has one top-10 finish in 18 rounds. Freshman Brooke Thompson has made a notable impact with a season average of 86.2 and a low round of 78 at the Mustang Fall Derby. Mariah Gerleman rounds out the lineup, carrying a season average of 90.9 with one top-10 finish in 16 rounds. Leah Hunter will serve as the alternate, with an average of 89.0.
