Strong Final Round Highlights Northwestern's Championship Performance

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – Northwestern finished seventh at the 2026 Women's GPAC Championship with a three-round score of 1053, highlighted by senior Ellie Erickson and freshman Brooke Thompson tying for 26th place, each posting a final score of 262.

The Raiders showed improvement during the final round, shooting a 338, which was 13 strokes better than their second round. Erickson recorded her best round on the final day with an 82, while Thompson opened strong with an 85 in the first round.

Anna Brant and Claire Yunag also delivered solid performances for the Red Raiders. Brant concluded the tournament tied for 31st with a score of 265, opening with a 10-over 83. Yunag ended in 35th place, posting her best score of 84 in the final round to finish at 266. Mariah Gerleman and Leah Hunter swapped rounds, with Gerleman completing two rounds and Hunter participating in the second.
