American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's track and field student-athlete Braden Kalvelage and women's track and field student-athlete Tierney Huss as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of April 27th.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Braden Kalvelage, Men's Track & Field

Kalvelage (Sr., Hastings, Neb.) dominated at the Mount Marty Twilight meet, championing his two events and setting a new program record.
The senior broke his own program record to win the 200m with a time of 21.01 seconds.
Kalvelage would win the 100m as well, setting a personal record of 10.52 seconds

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tierney Huss, Women's Track & Field

Huss (So., Orange City, Iowa) was a record breaker on Wednesday before finishing top-15 at the Drake Relays over the weekend.
The sophomore broke the program record in the 100m, which had stood since 1988, with a time of 11.85, before helping break the 4x100 record in 47.7 seconds.
Huss's 4x100 team took 15th at the Drake Relays with a time of 48.12.
