Northwestern Athletics Exceeds $100,000 on Raiders Giving Day

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics was powered by an outpouring of support from its community during its annual Raiders Giving Day on Thursday, April 9, raising over $100,000 for Red Raider athletic programs.

"Raider Athletics Giving Day has provided a tremendous opportunity for our coaches and athletes to connect with former athletes by sharing stories and continuing the legacy of excellence in Raider Athletics," said Vice President for Athletics Tony Hoops. "We are grateful for the support so many gave not just financially but through connection as they support our current students by leaving the jersey in a better place."

The success of the day was driven by the generosity and engagement of Red Raider alumni, fans, and supporters. A total of 425 unique donors contributed to the campaign, demonstrating a strong commitment to the continued growth and success of Northwestern student-athletes. Through three years of Raiders Giving Day, the department has now surpassed $300,000 raised for Red Raider athletic programs.

Throughout the day, student-athletes and coaches connected directly with supporters, sharing stories and building relationships that continue to strengthen the Northwestern athletics community.

Gifts from Raiders Giving Day will have a direct and meaningful impact across all programs. Each team will utilize the funds to enhance the student-athlete experience, including investments in equipment, team culture and mission opportunities, travel, and uniforms.

The Raiders Giving Day site will remain open through the end of April, providing additional opportunities for supporters to make an impact on Northwestern's athletic programs.

The next opportunity to support Red Raider athletics will come at the annual Red Raider Golf Classic, scheduled for June 6 at Landsmeer Golf Club. Registration for the event is now open.
