American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's golf student-athlete Evan Smith and women's golf student-athlete Brooke Thompson as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of April 6th.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Evan Smith, Men's Golf

Smith (So., Knoxville, Iowa) helped the Raiders to a first place finish at the Briar Cliff Match Play Championship, going 3-0 on the day.
The sophomore defeated his opponents 2&1, 4UP, and 5&3.
The win marks the third straight tournament win for the Northwestern golf team.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brooke Thompson, Women's Golf

Thompson (Fr., Story City, Iowa) was undefeated as Northwestern took third at the Briar Cliff Match Play Championship.
The freshman went 3-0, defeating opponents 6&4, 5&4, and 7&6.
Thompson earns her first career Raider Athlete of the Week honor.
