Miller Posts Second-Place Finish, Raiders Place Third at NAIA Fall Preview

SILVIS, Ill. – Northwestern College secured a third-place finish at the NAIA National Fall Preview, as the Raiders returned to the NAIA Championships host site at TPC at Deere Run.

Axton Miller was a standout performer for Northwestern, finishing second overall with an even 142. Miller improved significantly from his first-round 73, shooting a 69 in the second round, marking the lowest score for the team in that round. The Red Raiders concluded the event with a team score of 601, following a first-round 296 and a second-round 305.

Evan Smith and Qwenton Caldwell both tied for 17th place, each posting final scores of 150 (+8). Smith's consistent play resulted in rounds of 73 and 77, while Caldwell's performance saw a notable first-round of 70, which was one stroke under par, followed by an 80 in the second round. Ray Greller and Trey Van Roekel rounded out the team, finishing T57 and T87, respectively.

Marian (Ind.) won the event with a score of 594 (+26), and Indiana Wesleyan's Sam Dykema won the event with a score of 137 (-5).
