Raiders Eclipse Records at Home Invitational

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern secured first place at the Red Raider Spring Invitational with a final score of 546, led by sophomore Ray Greller's individual victory at 9-under-par 133 at Landsmeer Golf Club.

Northwestern's A team finished first with a remarkable total score of 546, achieving rounds of 272 and 274. Notably, the 272 first-round mark set a new team single-round school record.

Ray Greller led the charge, posting an impressive 133 (-9) overall, with a standout first round of 63 (-8), breaking the individual single-round school record. Greller's performance included eight birdies in that round. Qwenton Caldwell, a senior, tied for sixth with a total of 138 (-4), including a strong second round of 65 (-6) where he made seven birdies. Sophomore Evan Smith also tied for sixth, matching Caldwell's total with rounds of 68 (-3) and 70 (-1). Axton Miller finished in a tie for 10th place with a score of 139 (-3). He carded a 69 (-2) in the first round and matched that with a solid 70 (-1) in the second round, which included an eagle on hole 10.

The B team from Northwestern finished in fourth place, recording a total score of 578. Freshman Carter Langle led the B squad with a total of 141 (-1), highlighted by a second-round score of 68 (-3). Sophomore Carson Uitermarkt delivered a consistent performance, finishing 17th with a score of 143 (+1). The C team placed 10th, with junior Ross Alexander leading the group with a total of 148 (+6).

Northwestern has won its home meet in three consecutive seasons.
