Northwestern Takes Third At GPAC Championships

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. – Northwestern placed third at the GPAC Championships with a team score of 905, highlighted by senior Qwenton Caldwell tying for fourth place individually with a score of 224.

The Raiders showed consistent improvement throughout the tournament, with a final round of 297, following scores of 306 and 302 in the first two rounds. Senior Qwenton Caldwell led the Raiders, tying for fourth overall with a total score of 224 (+8).

Junior Ben Christy made a notable impact by tying for seventh place with a total of 227 (+11). After an opening round of 80 (+8), Christy rebounded with a final round of 71 (-1), the best round of the tournament for the Red Raiders. Sophomore Axton Miller also contributed, tying for tenth at 228 (+12) with consistent rounds of 74, 77, and 77. Evan Smith finished tied for 16th, recording a 230 (+14) over the three rounds. His performance included scores of 79 (+7), 75 (+3), and 76 (+4). Sophomore Ray Greller improved significantly in the final round, carding a 73 (+1) to finish tied for 29th.\

Caldwell, Christy, and Miller were named to the GPAC All-Tournament team for their efforts.
