SIOUX CENTER / ORANGE CITY, Iowa — Northwestern College women's golf secured first place at the Siouxland Women's Invite with a score of 661 (+85), narrowly edging out Concordia (NE) by two strokes. Ellie Erickson led the Raiders finishing third place individually, shooting 79 (+7) in back-to-back rounds to close out with a final score of 158 (+14).
Leah Hunter tied for ninth place with a two-round total of 167 (+23), carding an 81 (+9) in the first round and an 86 (+14) in the second. Her efforts contributed significantly to the Raiders' top team finish.
Claire Yunag also tied for ninth, matching Hunter with a 167 (+23) total. Yunag shot an 82 (+10) in the first round and followed with an 85 (+13) in the second, further strengthening the Red Raiders' lead in the competition.
Anna Brant posted a notable second-round comeback, shooting a 79 (+7) after an initial round of 90 (+18), finishing in 13th place with a total score of 169 (+25). Her performance in the final round was pivotal in clutching the tournament win for the Raiders.
