SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Northwestern College women's golf placed fourth at the Mustang Fall Derby hosted by Morningside University, finishing with a team score of 670 (+94). The Raiders improved by 22 strokes in the second round, showing strong resilience against a competitive field. Morningside claimed first place with a score of 621 (+45).
Ellie Erickson led the Raiders with a two-round total of 165 (+45), tying for 11th place overall. After an opening-round 86 (+14), she bounced back with a strong 79 (+7) in round two to pace Northwestern's lineup.
Brooke Thompson followed closely behind, finishing 15th with a 166 (+22). Thompson's consistency shone through in her final-round performance, where she shot a 78 (+6) — the team's lowest single-round score of the tournament.
Claire Yunag and Anna Brant both tied for 21st, each carding identical rounds of 86 (+14) and 85 (+13) for a total of 171 (+27). Their steady play helped the Raiders climb the leaderboard in the second round.
