YANKTON, S.D. — The Northwestern College women's golf team continued its strong fall season with a third-place finish at the Mount Marty Invite, highlighted by a program-record single-round score.
The Raiders set a new program standard on the opening day (Sept. 22) with a team score of 317, before closing out round two (Sept. 23) with a 326 for a tournament total of 643. Northwestern trailed only Dakota Wesleyan (613) and team champion Doane (609).
Senior Claire Yunag led the charge for the Raiders, placing tied for fifth individually after posting rounds of 76 and 78 for a 154 total. Senior Ellie Erickson was just outside the top 10, carding 78 in the first round and 80 in the second to finish at 157.
The third-place finish adds another strong result to Northwestern's fall campaign, with the Raiders showing both individual consistency and team depth in their record-setting performance.
