Jacob Gostonczik (
Plainview, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.

Gostonczik received all-state recognition after his fourth season playing for the Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School soccer team. Gostonczik scored a team-leading 13 goals and had three assists in leading his team to a 7-3 record. He earned all-conference honors two years and was named to the all-area team. Gostonczik added eight goals and three assists as a junior and plays for the Rochester Minnesota Rush club team. An honor roll student, Gostondczik plans to study Biology / Health Professions at Northwestern. He is the son of Mike and Michelle.
"We are always on the lookout for quality young men and we know we found one in Jacob," said Northwestern Head Coach
Dan Swier. "He is an up-and-coming player that has developed by leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. Jacob had a nice senior season last fall and will continue to grow and progress once he joins our program."
"I chose Northwestern because it's a place where I will get a great education," stated Gostonczik. "Northwestern is giving me an opportunity to play soccer as well; I really like the coaches and players within the program."
