Drew Van Hauen (Pella, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his running career at Northwestern College next fall.

Van Hauen competed a combined six seasons (2 cross country, 4 track and field) for Pella High School. A state qualifier in cross country as a senior, Van Hauen earned both all-district and all-conference honors as junior and senior. In track, he received all-state and all-district recognition and has personal bests of 2:01 in the 800m, 52.11 in the 400m and 17:01 in the 5K. Van Hauen plans to major in secondary education at Northwestern and is the son of Brent and Heather.

"We are thrilled that Drew will joining our Raider family," said Northwestern Head Coach Scott Bahrke. "He is a talented distance runner and tough competitor. Drew will help our men's squad reach their goals, both at the GPAC and NAIA levels."
