Renaud To Play Basketball, Volleyball At Northwestern

Grace Renaud (Alden, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball and volleyball career at Northwestern College this fall.

Renaud had a standout, four-year career playing for the Iowa Falls-Alden basketball team. The 5'11 forward averaged 14.4 points, over seven rebounds and shot 50% from the field in earning both first team all-conference and all-district honors as a senior. Renaud helped lead her team to a 19-3 record and was also an all-region selection.

"Grace is an outstanding young lady who had tremendous volleyball and basketball seasons as a senior," said Northwestern Head Coach Chris Yaw. "I am excited to welcome Grace to our basketball program and to Northwestern College. Grace is a good shooter with nice length on the perimeter to create opportunities with her defense.  I look forward to God's plan for Grace and her experience at Northwestern as a Red Raider."

13909Also a four-year letter winner in volleyball, Renaud put down a team-high 72 blocks, 12th most in class 3A, and hit a team-best .390 in leading her team to a 28-7 record. She averaged over two kills per set, totaled 25 aces in earning first team all-conference and all-district honors for the second year. A member of the National Honor Society and class valedictorian, Renaud is the daughter of Scott and Lisa.

"Grace is an outstanding fit for both our team and Northwestern campus," stated Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. "Grace is a good athlete, very coachable and had a successful career at Iowa Falls-Alden. We are excited to welcome Grace to Northwestern College."
