High School: competed a combined six seasons (2 cross country, 4 track and field) for Pella High School; state qualifier in cross country as a senior; earned both all-district and all-conference honors as junior and senior; received all-state and all-district recognition in track and has personal bests of 2:01 in the 800m, 52.11 in the 400m and 17:01 in the 5K.
