High School: stellar three-year career playing for Grand View Christian School; two-time, first team all-state selection who averaged 22 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in leading Grand View Christian to its second consecutive class 1A state championship in 2018; named the state tournament most valuable player by the Des Moines Register and earned all-tournament team honors by both the Des Moines Register and Prep Hoops Iowa; scored 19.2 points to go with nearly seven assists per game in leading his team to the state title, earning all-tournament team and first team all-state honors as a junior; scored 1,340 points and drained 165 three-pointers during his career, earning all-conference honors three years; academic all-state and member of the National Honor Society.
