American State Bank Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's cross country student-athlete Caleb Tofteland and women's cross country student-athlete Emily DeGroot as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of September 28.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Caleb Tofteland, Men's Cross Country

Tofteland (So., Wichita, Kan.) was the top finisher at Friday's Augustana Invitational.
He ran a PR time of 24:43.1, which is second in Northwestern 8K history.
Tofteland finished 11th in the 292-runner field.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Emily DeGroot, Women's Cross Country

DeGroot (Sr., Orange City, Iowa) broke her own program record in the 6K at Friday's Augustana Invitational.
She marked a time of 21:29.3 to set a new PR.
DeGroot placed 22nd overall in the event.
