Raiders Run Against Top Competition in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Northwestern College women's cross country team placed 17^th at the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday afternoon, running in the Suzy Wilson Women's Maroon Race.

The race, which included teams from Division II and III and NAIA schools, was the first 6K of the year for the Raiders, who were led by Emily DeGroot's 68^th-place finish in 25:17.5.

Kayden Spencer finished her first 6K with the Raiders in 25:58.6, followed by Macy Schroeder's time of 27:07.6 and Allie Hough finishing at 27:08.9.

Winona State (Minn.) won the event with a score of 27, led by individual champion Sophia Taarud's time of 22:19.4.
