Laven Recognized as GPAC Golfer of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern senior golfer Jackson Laven has been selected as this week's GPAC Men's Golfer of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

"Jack continues to prepare the right way for each tournament to make sure he has confidence in all of his scoring shots," said head coach Aaron Aberson. "I couldn't be happier to see all of his hard work pay dividends."

Leading the Raiders to a second-place finish at the CMU Spring Invitational, Laven matched a career-low round, shooting a 66 (-2) in round one. He went on to total 140 (-5) to finish fifth at the event, which marked his fourth top-10 placement this season and second top-five finish.

On the year, the 2024 GPAC Player of the Year is averaging 72.2 through 18 rounds, pacing below is career average of 74.0. His low round of 66 is one stroke behind the best score in program history.

The Raiders are back in action next week, heading to Manhattan, Kansas for the Midwest Spring NAIA Invitational at Colbert Hills.
