Raiders Notch Two Top-10 Individuals, Second-Place Team Score

BOONVILLE, Mo. – The Red Raider men's golf team embarked on its second spring meet of the season, heading to Missouri for the Central Methodist Spring Invitational.

Jackson Laven paced the Raiders with a top-five finish, his second of the year. Axton Miller also starred with a seventh-place mark, landing in the top-10 for the third time this season. Laven tied his career-best with a 66 in the first round, just one stroke behind the best round in program history.

Also impressing was Qwenton Caldwell, who shot up the leaderboard for his best finish of the year, shooting 71-73-144, well below his season average.

As a team, Northwestern was -8 heading into the second day, but remained in second place despite a +10 round on Tuesday. Their 276 team round on Monday was the lowest round of the year and tied for third in program history.

Missouri Valley won the event with a total score of 565 (-3) and took the top individual spots as Chad Coburn and Brad Storrer tied with a final of 136 (-5).
