Northwestern Lands in Top-10 of NAIA Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Thanks to a 7-0 start to the season, the Northwestern men's basketball team has received its first top-10 ranking in the NAIA's one-division era, landing at No. 8 in today's poll.

The Raiders have showcased their offensive firepower early this season, leading the NAIA in field goal percentage (59.8%) and three-point percentage (45.6%). They are fifth in the country in points per game (97.9) and have the top-three shooters in the GPAC by efficiency in Kaleb Booth (69.2%), Jesse Van Kalsbeek (69.0%), and Alex Van Kalsbeek (67.0%).

There is a new No. 1 this week as Arizona Christian jumped ahead to the top spot. With the remaining first-place vote, Georgetown (Ky.) moved up to No. 2. LSU Alexandria, College of Idaho, and Montana Tech rounded out the top five.

Northwestern is one of four GPAC teams represented in the poll, joining Dordt, Morningside, and Concordia.
