Van Kalsbeek Headlines All-Conference Teams

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced its men's basketball all-conference teams, with four Raiders receiving All-GPAC distinction. Jesse Van Kalsbeek received Player of the Year honors, joined by Jalen Langsy, Kaleb Booth, and Manny Hammonds on the All-GPAC list.

Jesse Van Kalsbeek – GPAC Player of the Year; First Team (Forward)
Northwestern's first GPAC Player of the Year since 2018, Van Kalsbeek has had a dominant season, leading the NAIA in scoring (27.9) and sitting second nationally in rebounds per game (12.4). The sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa has collected 26 double-doubles this season and recorded the program's first triple-double since 1988.

Van Kalsbeek becomes Northwestern's eighth GPAC Player of the Year. Northwestern's last three Players of the Year have been Van Kalsbeek, head coach Colton Kooima (2018), and Associate Head Coach Ben Miller (2013).

Jalen Langsy – First Team (Guard)
Holding top-five spots in the NAIA in points per game (27.4), three-point percentage (51.3%), and free throw percentage (90.9%), Langsy earns his second career First Team honor in his sophomore season. The Shakopee, Minnesota product has hit 138 threes this season, which is a program record. He broke the single-game threes record (12) on January 28 against Dordt, scored a career-high 49 points on November 11 against William Penn, and has scored 30 or more points in 12 games.

Kaleb Booth – Honorable Mention (Guard)
An All-GPAC honorable mention for the third consecutive season, Booth is on pace to break the program record for career three-point percentage, currently holding a 52.6% career mark from deep. The senior from Carroll, Iowa has made 219 career threes, has dished out 390 assists, and has scored 909 points in a Raider uniform.

Manny Hammonds – Honorable Mention (Guard)
Earning All-GPAC honors in his first season with the Raiders, Hammonds fit well into the Raiders' starting lineup, starting all 31 games this year. The junior from Des Moines, Iowa is third on the team in scoring and has shot the ball at a 53.8% clip.

In addition to Van Kalsbeek's Player of the Year award, Morningside's Trent Miller was named the GPAC Coach of the Year. Kaden Van Regenmorter of Morningside was named Freshman of the Year, while Will Lugar (Briar Cliff) and Fitzy Grant (Morningside) received Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors.
