Raiders Drop Conference Road Clash at Doane

CRETE, Neb. – The Northwestern College men's tennis team (8-6, 1-1 GPAC) leaves the state of Nebraska with a split, after falling to the Doane University Tigers (7-10, 2-0 GPAC) this afternoon to wrap up the first weekend of Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) tennis action.

It would be the Doane Tigers who would defend their home courts this afternoon, as the Tigers would take all three doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead into singles play.
Doane would continue to hold the momentum into singles play, winning all six matchups.

David Bomgaars (So., Aurora, Colo.) tallied the lone Raider set victory, forcing a third set at No. 2. At No. 5, Noah Roisum (Jr., Rapid City, S.D.) would show some fight in the first set, winning four games. Full results can be found linked at the top of the story.

Up Next: The Raiders will continue the GPAC slate on Monday, April 3 when they once again hit the road for Yankton, S.D. to battle the Lancers of Mount Marty University (1-7, 0-1 GPAC) for the two team's league bout of the season. First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m.
