Northwestern Heads to Oklahoma for NAIA Tournament

Red Raiders make second trip to national tournament in three seasons

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northwestern men's soccer team (15-4-2, 8-1-2 GPAC) has earned an automatic bid to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) tournament and will face the Bruins of Bellevue University (12-5-3) in the first round of the tournament. The match will be played on Thursday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m.
 
Northwestern will travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the first and second round bracket, hosted by Mid-America Christian (Okla.) at Dill Soccer Field.

(RV) Bellevue earned an automatic bid after winning the 2023 Continental Athletic Conference (CSC) championship match in PKs over No. 14-ranked Florida National University on Saturday. The Bruins are led offensively by sophomore defender Fletcher Hedge who leads the team with seven goals on the season, while Matias Daniel-Doren and Alvaro Moros Sanz both have netted five goals.

The winner of Thursday's match will the top-seeded Mid-America Christian University Evangels (17-0-3) on Saturday, November 18.

Northwestern is making its third appearance in the NAIA tournament, last making the field in 2021, when they lost 1-0 in overtime to Rio Grande (Ohio).

Game 1: Northwestern vs. Bellevue (Neb.); 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 18
Winner of Game 1 vs. Mid-America Christian (Okla.); 6:00 p.m.
