ELKHORN, Neb. – The Northwestern College men's golf team sits in fourth place after the first two rounds at the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Fall Qualifier at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Neb. with a 600 (+24) team score.
Day 1 saw perfect golfing weather as the Raiders were paced by
Brock Murphy's (Jr., Tea, S.D./Tea Area) first round -2 (70), the only Raider under par in the two rounds at the event. Murphy sits tied for 13
th in the GPAC individual standings.
Trenton De Haan (Jr., Orange City, Iowa/MOC-Floyd Valley) and
Alex Snyder (Sr., Alta, Iowa/Alta-Aurelia) both sit tied for 20
th individually, both notching rounds of +8 (152) two-round score.
The second day was a battle with the weather as the Raiders got off to a slow start. Dropping to sixth place through the first 12 holes of the day
"The guys battled really hard, especially the last six holes (on day 2)," said head coach
Aaron Aberson.
