Aaron Aberson

Aberson begins his 15th season as the head men's golf coach and 21st overall season as a part of the Northwestern golf program entering the 2024-25 season, spending two years as an assistant and four years as a player. Aberson also serves as the director of the golf facility inside the Juffer Fieldhouse.

Family: wife - Kate; children - Quinn and Cadence

Alma Mater (Year): Northwestern College (2006)

Playing Career: played four years (2003-06) for the Red Raiders earned All-Conference honors two years part of a Red Raider team that qualified for regionals four straight years.

Coaching Experience:

    2010-present: Head Coach at NWC
    2008-2009: Assistant Coach at NWC

Team Accomplishments Under Aberson:
 - 8x GPAC Champion
 - 8x qualifier to the NAIA National Championships
 - ranked/earned votes in the NAIA coaches' poll in 10 of the last 12 seasons; finished 13th in the final poll (2017), 17th in final poll (2013), and 18th in final poll (2025)
 - 12x finished in the top five within the GPAC
 - guided his team to 39 1st place finishes

 - 8x GPAC Coach of the Year (2012, 2013, 2015-2018, 2024-25)
 - coached six GPAC Champions (Caleb Badura, Justin Kraft (2x), Neil Malenke, Jackson Laven, Axton Miller)
 - 3 NAIA All-Americans
 - 30 NAIA Scholar Athletes
 - 12 NAIA Scholar Teams
