Uamai To Play Soccer at Northwestern

| By:
Gerrard Uamai (Dundalk, Louth / Ireland) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.

2021 msoccer UUamai had an outstanding five-year career playing for the Bay FC Dundalk soccer team. Named the Player of the Year in 2015, Uamai led the team in scoring all five years and netted 141 career goals. He was part of teams that finished among the top three in the league each year. Uamai plans to study Software Engineering at Northwestern and is the son of Aaron and Justina.

"We are very excited to add an attacking player of Gerrard's caliber to our program," said Northwestern Head Coach Dan Swier. "We need to score more goals if we want to win more games and Gerrard knows how to finish. He should fit nicely into our plans to become a more dangerous attacking team."

"I chose to attend Northwestern because of my conversations with the current players and also with Coach Swier," stated Uamai. "I was very impressed with the team and with the program and their style of play."
