Helderop To Join Raiders Soccer Program

Nikko Helderop (Bismarck, N.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.  

2021 MSoccer Recruit HelderopHelderop recently completed a standout, four-year career playing for the Century High School soccer team. Named team captain has a senior, Helderop scored 13 goals and totaled five assists in leading his team to a state championship with a 13-3-2 overall record this fall. He received all-state accolades for the second consecutive year and was named to the state tournament all-tournament team.

"We are thrilled that Nikko chose to become a Red Raider and a member of our soccer program," commented Northwestern soccer coach Dan Swier. "He is a quality young man who loves to compete and is a proven winner. Nikko has played at a very high level, both for his high school team and for his club team, and success follows wherever he goes. Adding players of Nikko's caliber to our roster ensures success for our program in the years to come."

Helderop played club for Magic Soccer FC where he was part of four straight indoor championship teams. An outstanding student, Helderop is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to study Nursing at Northwestern. He is the son of Randy and Kera.

"I chose Northwestern because of its strong soccer and Nursing programs," stated Helderop on why he chose to come to Northwestern.
