Stan van den Beld (
Voorhout, Netherlands) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.

van den Beld accounted for 36 points in leading his club team, Foreholte, to a 10-5-1 record and fourth place finish in a shortened 2019 season. He scored 13 goals and assisted on 10 others last year. So far in 2020, van den Beld has scored one goal and has six assists for his Foreholte team that is off to a 6-0 start and is currently in first place.
"We have been looking to add dynamic attacking talent to our squad for next season," commented Northwestern Head Coach
Dan Swier. "Stan will certainly fill that role in our program over the next years. The standard of soccer at his level in the Netherlands is phenomenal and he has been a standout among his peers as a difference maker. We are excited to see what the future has in store for Stan during his time at Northwestern."
van den Beld attends high school at Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim where he will graduate in 2021. He is the son of Katja and Jeroen.
"I chose to attend Northwestern because it is a really solid college and has a great soccer program," stated van den Beld.
