Raiders get committment from South Dakota all-stater

Luke Burch (Garretson, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College.

BurchBurch played multiple seasons as a defender for the Brandon Valley High School. A two-time all-state pick, Burch helped his team to a third place finish at the state tournament as a junior, closing the season with a 9-2-2 record. He earned all-conference honors two years and played for Head Coach Chris Limmer.

Burch also played for the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club, the #1 ranked club team in South Dakota.  He is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in Business Administration at Northwestern.

"Luke will be a fun player to coach and watch over his four years in our program," commented Northwestern Head Coach Dan Swier. "He has the potential to be a great player because he has a combination of size, athleticism, passion, and skill.  I am excited about his strong character on and off the field and his overall potential to be a leader in our program in the years to come."
