Winterfeld Selected as GPAC Attacker of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern outside hitter Stella Winterfeld has been selected as the GPAC Attacker of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

"Stella had an outstanding first two weeks, making a big impact both as an attacker in the front row and with her back-row play," head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch said. "She has scored offensively in a variety of ways which has been really great to see."

Winterfeld led the Raiders to a 3-0 weekend against top-15 opponents, totaling 49 kills at 4.45 per set. She hit at a .270 efficiency, including a .371 mark in Thursday's sweep of Oklahoma Wesleyan. In addition to her offensive totals, Winterfeld added 25 digs and two blocks.

The Raiders will open up GPAC play at Briar Cliff tomorrow night.
