Tennis Trio Earns Academic Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Northwestern women's tennis student-athletes have been recognized with College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. Alloree Else, Pietra Ferreira, and Madalyn Kolb are Northwestern's honorees, receiving accolades for their work on the court and in the classroom.

A sophomore elementary education major from Pella, Iowa, Else posted eight wins in her second season with the Raiders, splitting her matches between No. 3 and No. 4 singles. She also picked up four doubles wins and was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Ferreira received All-GPAC accolades for the second consecutive season, as the sophomore from Piracicabla, Brazil went 13-7 in singles and had an even 10-10 record in doubles.

Kolb, a junior social work major from Ankeny, Iowa, had 10 wins in singles and 10 in doubles as she joined the starting lineup at singles 4-6 this season.

Academic All-America teams will be announced on Tuesday, June 2.
