Smith Receives GPAC Golfer of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern sophomore men's golfer Evan Smith was selected as GPAC Men's Golfer of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports, after going 3-0 at the Briar Cliff Spring Match Play Championship.

Smith went 3-0 in match play, leading the Raiders to a first-place finish at the Briar Cliff Spring Match Play Championship. He defeated Trevor Seeley (Hastings) 2&1, Leo Garcia (Mount Marty) 4UP, and Trey Van Groningen (Dordt) 5&3.

It is the second time this season that Smith has earned GPAC Golfer of the Week accolades.

The Raiders are at home for their next tournament, hosting the Red Raider Spring Invite on Wednesday.
