Northwestern Takes Sixth at Midwest National Spring Invite

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Northwestern men's golf team finished sixth with a score of 902 at the Midwest National Spring Invite, highlighted by sophomore Axton Miller's tie for eighth place with a 221 (+5).

The Raiders opened with a strong first round of 293, but subsequent rounds of 307 and 302 saw it slip to a mid-table finish. Miller was the standout performer for the Red Raiders, tying for eighth place overall with a total score of 221. Miller's consistent rounds of 72, 74, and 75 helped anchor his team's efforts.

Sophomore Ray Greller also delivered a notable performance, finishing tied for 11th with a total of 223. Greller's opening round of 70 (-2) was a highlight, being the top single-round performance for Northwestern in the event. Evan Smith, another sophomore, tied for 27th with a score of 230, maintaining steady rounds throughout the competition. Junior Ben Christy and sophomore Carson Uitermarkt rounded out the team's efforts, finishing with scores of 239 and 238 respectively.
