Di Martino and Ferreira Earn All-GPAC Honors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern received two honorable mentions on the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) All-Conference list, with Matilde Di Martino and Pietra Ferreira earning singles honors.

Matilde Di Martino – Honorable Mention (Singles)
A freshman from Maracay, Venezuela, Di Martino led the Raiders with a 14-7 record in her first collegiate season, including a 9-6 record at No. 1 and a 5-1 mark at No. 2. Her 14 wins this season moved into a tie for fifth in program history for single-season wins.

Pietra Ferreira – Honorable Mention (Singles)
A two-time all-conference pick in singles, Ferreira was second on the team in wins, posting a 13-7 overall record. She spent most of the season at No. 2 singles where she picked up nine wins and held a 4-2 record at No. 1. For her career, the sophomore from Piracicabla, Brazil has compiled a singles record of 23-15.

Maria Purizaca of Doane University was named the GPAC Player of the Year. Coach of the Year honors went to Morningside's Alex Struck.
