Raiders Tie for Fifth at Mount Marty Invite

NIOBRARA, Neb. – The Northwestern College women's golf team tied for fifth at the Mount Marty Invite played Monday and Tuesday at Tatanka Golf Club.

The Raiders carded a two-round total of 685, finishing at 109-over par with team scores of 340 and 345.

Brooke Thompson led Northwestern individually, tying for 12th with a 165 (+21). Thompson opened with a 78 and followed with an 87 in Tuesday's final round. Anna Brant tied for 17th with a 171 (+27), carding rounds of 85 and 86. Leah Hunter finished 22nd at 174 (+30), improving by 10 strokes in the final round with an 82 after opening with a 92.

Mariah Gerleman placed 24th with a 175 (+31), shooting 85-90, while Avery Arvig tied for 36th with a 184 (+40) after rounds of 93 and 91.

Competing individually, Julia De Vos finished 35th with a 183 (+39), improving nine strokes from a first-round 96 with an 87 on Tuesday.

Doane won the team title with a 638 (+62), finishing 25 strokes ahead of Dakota Wesleyan. Dordt placed third with a 668 (+92), followed by Clarke at 676 (+100). Northwestern tied Briar Cliff for fifth at 685 (+109).
