ORANGE CITY, Iowa — Northwestern battled through a competitive opening round Wednesday, finishing sixth with a team score of 337 (+53) at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic hosted by Briar Cliff University

The Red Raiders were led by a strong performance from Brooke Thompson, who tied for 13th individually with an 81 (+10). Anna Brant followed closely behind with an 83 (+12), while Mariah Gerleman carded an 86 (+15) and Leah Hunter added an 87 (+16). Avery Arvig rounded out the scoring with a 90 (+19).
