Northwestern Shines Outdoor Debut

WAYNE, Neb. – Northwestern posted multiple top finishes at the Wildcat Classic, led by Tierney Huss's victory in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.02 seconds and Kendra Zeutenhorst's win in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

The Red Raiders had a strong showing in their first outdoor showing this year, with several athletes delivering notable performances. In the women's 100-meter dash, Huss secured first place with a time of 12.02 seconds. Kenzie Harder also stood out in the 200-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 24.75 seconds, closely followed by Huss in third place at 24.83 seconds. The 4x100 meter relay team, which included Harder and Huss, earned a second-place finish with a time of 48.25.

Distance events also saw standout performances from Raider athletes. Macy Schroeder claimed third place in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.19, while Emily DeGroot placed sixth in the 1500-meter run, finishing in 5:01.40. In the field events, Addison Smith triumphed in the high jump, clearing 1.65 meters to take first place. Zeutenhorst excelled in the 3000-meter steeplechase, securing victory with a time of 13:27.13, followed closely by Elin Van Der Werff in second.

Sprints
Tierney Huss secured first place in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.02 seconds. Kenzie Harder and Huss achieved second and third place in the 200, clocking 24.75 and 24.83 seconds, respectively. Kyndra Gramstad placed fifth in the 400 Meter with a time of 1:02.55.

Middle Distance
Macy Schroeder earned third place in the 800 Meter un, finishing in 2:23.19. Emily DeGroot placed sixth in the 1500 Meter with a time of 5:01.40.

Distance
Kendra Zeutenhorst won the 3000 Meter Steeplechase with a time of 13:27.13, followed by Elin Van Der Werff in second place at 13:56.78. Sarah Lunning finished sixth in the 5K with a time of 20:44.96.

Hurdles
Carly Dunn placed seventh in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.09 seconds and Emma Nath finished ninth in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:11.92.

Jumps
Addison Smith won the High Jump with a height of 1.65m, while Kenna Gustafson secured fifth place in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.17m.

Throws
Lilli Gustaf achieved a distance of 10.83m to place 16th in the Shot Put. Sara Thonvold placed fourth in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 34.58m.
