Northwestern to Compete on National Stage This Weekend

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship is set to take place from May 20-22, 2026, at Karl Straus Track in Asheville, North Carolina. Addison Smith, competing individually, will be joined by the women's 4x800m relay.

Freshman Addison Smith will head to Asheville for her first National Championship appearance in the high jump, an event that she enters at 8^th in the NAIA. Her leap of 1.70m at the Concordia Twilight gave her the auto mark.

The 4x800m relay team of Macy Schroeder, Allie Hough, Emily DeGroot, Brielle Engelmann, and alternate Brooklyn Fryar owns the 15^th-best time in the country, also qualifying at the Concordia Twilight with a time of 9:17.76.

For those unable to attend in person, the NAIA channel of the Urban Edge Network will broadcast the event live and for free, providing fans an opportunity to support Northwestern from home.
