Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Northwestern College defeated Coe College 5-2 on Saturday. The Red Raiders secured the victory by winning four of the six singles matches and taking two of three doubles contests.

Northwestern secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Pietra Ferreira and Matilde Di Martino delivered a 6-2 win over Alice Tysoe and Carlie Miller at No. 1 doubles, while Madalyn Kolb and Bryn Higginbotham triumphed 6-1 against Makayla Baxter and Cosette Gaines at No. 2 doubles. The Kohawks managed a win at No. 3 doubles as Alliandra Hagness and Alexa Cohen defeated Hannah Beckloff and Alloree Else, 6-2.

In singles play, the Raiders extended their lead as Di Martino won 6-4, 7-5 over Hagness at No. 1 singles. Coe responded at No. 2 singles with Maria Bello Escobar's 6-3, 6-3 victory against Ferreira. The tight contest continued at No. 3 singles, where Gaines from Coe edged Else in a match tiebreak, 6-4, 2-6 (10-5).

Northwestern clinched the match with wins in the remaining singles matches. At No. 4 singles, Kolb secured a 6-3, 6-2 win over Miller. Higginbotham followed with a decisive 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles against Baxter. Beckloff completed the 5-2 overall victory for the Raiders with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cohen at No. 6 singles.
