Jalen Langsy and women's basketball student-athlete
Allison Piercy as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of March 16th.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jalen Langsy, Men's Basketball
- Langsy (So., Shakopee, Minn.) hit 10 threes and shot 62% from the floor over two games to help advance his team to the national tournament in Kansas City.
- The sophomore scored 32 points and missed just four shots in the win over Taylor on Friday while adding four rebounds and four assists.
- Langsy had a slower day at the office by comparison on Saturday, scoring 23 points, shooting 47%, but still grabbed three rebounds and dished out four assists.
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Allison Piercy, Women's Basketball
- Piercy (Jr., Spencer, Iowa) tied a career-high in scoring with 25 points in Friday's national tournament loss to Tennessee Southern.
- The junior shot 64% from the floor and 54% from beyond the arc, drilling a season-high six threes.
- Piercy pulled down eight boards and added three assists.
