FOREST CITY, Iowa — In a commanding display, Northwestern College rolled past Waldorf with a 46-4 victory coming by way of eight bonus point victories.
The Raiders were relentless from the first whistle.
Logan Schroeder dropped a hard fought major decision loss to Malachi Aispuro at 125lbs putting Waldorf on the scoreboard first. But it didn't take long for the Raiders to shift gears. Ethan Skogland turned the tide with a rapid pin at 133lbs, putting his opponent Ikuhaiakalani Akina away in just 48 seconds.
Noah Parmelee kept the momentum going at 141lbs, securing a first period technical fall with a 21-5 score over Rev Baptista.
Johnny Burnette collected the six-point forfeit at 149lbs.
Both
Aiden Smith and
Cade Braun dominated their matches with technical falls; Smith, in his home debut, clinched a 15-0 win over Preston Ray at 157lbs , while Braun achieved a 27-10 victory over Ronald Hooten at 165 pounds. At 174lbs
Wyatt Bice continued the team's impressive run, pinning Daven Hames in the second period. At 184lbs,
Thomas Vance delivered a major decision win, shutting out Ellis Hughes 14-0. Also making his home debut,
Reid Hulshof delivered a standout performance at 197lbs, with a 24 second pin over Brandon Alexander.
Jaxson Hildebrand in his first home appearance of the year as well, wrapped up the dual with a solid 6-0 decision in the heavyweight class, to close out the home victory for the Raiders.
