Raiders Display Strong Performance at GPAC Championships

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – Northwestern women's track and field earned a tie for fourth place with 56.50 points at the GPAC Indoor Championships, highlighted by Kenzie Harder's second-place finish in the long jump and significant contributions from Tierney Huss in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.

In the women's 60-meter dash, Tierney Huss finished fourth with a time of 7.71 seconds, contributing five points, while Kenzie Harder placed seventh in 7.75 seconds, earning two points. Emma Blum achieved a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 58.55 seconds, which added six points to the team's total.

The relay teams also made significant contributions to the Raiders' score. The 4x400-meter relay team, composed of Kenzie Harder, Tierney Huss, Kyndra Gramstad, and Emma Blum, finished fourth with a time of 3:58.48, earning five points. The 4x800-meter relay team secured a third-place finish, clocking in at 9:34.40 and adding six points. In field events, Kenzie Harder excelled in the long jump, securing second place with a leap of 5.88 meters, contributing eight more points to the Raiders' tally.

SPRINTS
Tierney Huss secured 4th place in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 7.71 seconds, while Kenzie Harder finished 7th in 7.75 seconds. Huss also placed 4th in the 200 Meter Dash, clocking in at 25.16 seconds.

MIDDLE DISTANCE
Emma Blum achieved 3rd place in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.55 seconds. Macy Schroeder placed 8th in the 600 Meter Run, finishing in 1:41.40. Brielle Engelmann took 8th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:25.04.

DISTANCE
Kayden Spencer finished 5th in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 18:39.56. Emily DeGroot placed 8th in the same event, completing it in 19:00.14.

HURDLES
Carly Dunn finished 9th in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.52 seconds.

JUMPS
Kenzie Harder secured 2nd place in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.88 meters. In the High Jump, Addison Smith placed 3rd with a height of 1.61 meters.

RELAYS
The 4x400 Meter Relay team finished 4th with a time of 3:58.48. The 4x800 Meter Relay team secured 3rd place, completing the race in 9:34.40.
